Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharging method which is strong against disturbance and with which ink droplet can be stably discharged. SOLUTION: By carrying out a step of applying discharge waveform voltages A1 and A2 to a piezoelectric element and a step of applying remaining vibration sustain waveform voltages B1 to B4 for sustaining remaining vibrations of a meniscus to the piezoelectric element between the discharge waveform voltages A1 and A2, the remaining vibrations are forcibly sustained. Thereby, the state of the meniscus upon discharge operation is made fixed and the droplet discharging method which is strong against disturbance and with which the ink droplet can be stably discharged is provided.
