Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tetra-axial loom capable of interweaving a first yarn (warp yarn), a second yarn (weft yarn), and third and fourth yarns (oblique yarns) in tetra-axial directions in good appearance. SOLUTION: The tetra-axial loom is constituted as follows. First and second sliders through the holes at the tips of which the first yarns (warp yarns) (a) are passed are installed so as to face to each other in the horizontal direction, and an opening is formed in the first yarns by sliding the first and the second sliders. A rapier for inserting the second yarn (b) into the opening is installed, and a turning arm for beating for every insertion of the second yarn by the rapier is installed. Guiding pieces 2 having guide holes 3 for guiding the third yarns (c) and the fourth yarns (d) to be fed obliquely to the crossed parts of the first and second yarns are arranged at the upper positions above the openings of the first yarns (a) in the front and rear in two rows. A transportation means 6 capable of holding and sending the movable pieces 2 while turning the pieces 2 by 180° in the turning direction when the movable pieces 2 are turned from the front row to the rear row, and vice versa are also installed. The loom is thus configured such that the third yarns (c) and the fourth yarns (d) (oblique yarns) fed to the crossed parts of the first yarns (warp yarn) and the second yarn (weft yarn) are not twisted.
