Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard unit for enabling a hybrid car to travel with a low noise while suppressing the deterioration of fuel consumption when the hybrid car travels in a residential area or near a house. SOLUTION: While an own vehicle travels in an EV traveling area, a navigation device decides whether or not a time zone to which a current time is belonging is a time zone when the own vehicle should travel with a low noise (S225), and decides whether or not a road on which the own vehicle is traveling is a road on which the own vehicle should travel with the low noise (S230). When the determination results are both positive, the navigation device stops the engine of the own vehicle and notifies a hybrid ECU that the own vehicle should perform EV traveling as traveling with only a motor as a power source.
