Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for water treatment by sterilization and disinfection of swimming pool water etc. with chlorine dioxide, capable of efficiently and economically decomposing away a chlorous acid ion as a by-product without any process for removing the chlorine dioxide or replacing the pool water. SOLUTION: A chlorous-acid-ion removing means 60 comprising an electrolysis tank and a chloride injecting means 40 for adjusting the chloride ion concentration of the pool water to 20 ppm or more are installed in a circulation system 20 for filtering the pool water at the downstream side of a chlorine-dioxide injecting means 30.
