INSOLE WITH ARCH SPRING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insole that overcomes the problems with conventional insoles. SOLUTION: The insole 10 is used with footwear. The insole 10 comprises a heel portion 14 with a first thickness; a forefoot portion 12; a mid portion 16 connecting the forefoot portion and the heel portion, having a substantially constant second thickness significantly thinner than the first thickness of the heel portion and having an upward curvature; and a first layer having an upper surface extending along the forefoot portion, mid portion and heel portion, on which a person stands, and a lower surface extending along the forefoot portion, mid portion and heel portion. The first layer is made of a material of a first hardness. An arch spring insert with a sufficiently constant thickness, which is flexible, resilient and thin, is secured in a recess, and follows the curvature of the mid portion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
