PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily image continuous recording. SOLUTION: During a continuous playback (display) mode, an image file is continuously read from a memory card (ST2). If the image file is a motion picture file, display control is performed on moving image data. Normal-speed playback or fast-forward/rewind playback is performed on moving images (ST3-ST6). If the image file is a still picture file, display control is performed on still image data. In normal-speed playback, a still image is played back for 3 sec and in fast-forward/rewind playback, the still image is played back for 0.5 sec (ST3, ST7-ST9). By setting the continuous playback mode, the image file can be continuously played back excellently and a user can easily image continuous recording in preview. Furthermore, fasts-forward/rewind playback can be performed over a plurality of continuous image files, and the user can effectively retrieve or confirm the image files. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
