CROWN-TYPE CAGE FOR ROLLING BEARING, AND ROLLING BEARING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crown-type cage for a rolling bearing which can prevent damage to the cage by suppressing the twisted deformation of the cage at high-speed rotation, and the rolling bearing. SOLUTION: The crown-type cage 19 for the rolling bearing comprises an annular rim 21, and a plurality of columns 22 which axially protrude from the rim 21 and are circumferentially arranged at prescribed intervals, and is constituted of a resin-made cage body 20 in which there is formed a pocket 23 for supporting the ball 13 so as to be rollable between the columns 22, and having a spherical shape slightly larger than the diameter of a ball 13, and a reinforcing member 30 which reinforces the cage body 20. The reinforcing member 30 has annular part 31 and a protrusion 32 inserted into a penetration hole which axially penetrates the columns. The protrusion 32 face-contacts with at least one of an inside-diameter side wall 27 and an outside-diameter side wall 28 which form the penetration hole 26. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
