CONTACT PROBE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electrolytic corrosion of a surface of a contact probe while suppressing temperature increase of the contact probe when current is applied from the contact probe to an object to be inspected. SOLUTION: This contact probe 1 is formed by stacking, in the thickness direction, an outer layer 11 made of conductive first metal and an inner layer 14 that is made of conductive second metal different from the first metal, is covered with the outer layer 11, and is not exposed. Even when the inner layer 14 and the outer layer 11 are made of different metals, the inner layer 14 is completely covered with the outer layer 11 and is not exposed. The contact probe 1 thereby becomes free from electrolytic corrosion. Especially, the inner layer 14 may be constituted of metal having an electric resistance smaller than that of the first metal.
