Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner equipped with a function of automatically cleaning an air filter, for lessening time and effort for throwing dust by smoothly compressing the dust removed from the air filter and stored in a dust box without permitting the dust to leak out of the dust box and by increasing the amount of the dust which is stored in the dust box. SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes the dust box 71 for storing the dust removed from the air filter 21. The dust box 71 includes a dust taking-in port 80 and a dust storage part 81 for storing the dust input from the dust taking-in port 80. A compressing rod 86 is rotatably supported at or near the dust taking-in port 80. The compressing rod 86 is rotated/driven to store the dust in the dust storage part 81 in a compressed state.
