PRESS MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press machine can perform press working by manual operation, and easily and rapidly perform fast feed operation. SOLUTION: The press machine is provided with a ball screw mechanism which rotationally drive a ball screw nut 31 via a reduction gear 20 by a clockwise revolution operating member (operation steering wheel 2), and moves a screw shaft 32 with respect to a support member 10 according to the revolution. By a change-over apparatus 60, two positions of the holding state to permit only the movement of the screw shaft in an axial direction of the support member and to obstruct the rotation around the axis of the screw shaft, and the free state to permit the rotation around the axis of the screw shaft and the axial movement thereof are changed over. Press working is performed in the holding state and the screw shaft is rotationally driven by the second clockwise revolution operating member (operation steering wheel 75) in the free state, and the fast feed operation is carried out.
