Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for calculating a reasonable smoke layer descent period. SOLUTION: A system for calculating a smoke layer descent period 1 targets a building, etc., having a plurality of divided areas partitioned by inner partitions. If at least one of the inner partitions includes glass, the system 1 includes: a smoke movement quantity calculation unit 21 for calculating a movement quantity of smoke in each partitioned area; and a smoke descent period calculation unit 23 for calculating a smoke descent period of each partitioned area on the basis of the movement quantity. A smoke movement quantity calculation unit 21 calculates smoke movement quantities between the partitioned areas sandwiching the inner partitions including the glass on the basis of a progressive degree of temporal destruction of the glass due to fire.
