LUBRICANT APPLICATOR, CLEANING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant applicator for stably supplying a lubricant to an image carrier so that its applying amount may be appropriate temporally and in a longitudinal direction by preventing the inequality of a press-contact force to a coating member caused by rotation in a shaft direction and rotation in the longitudinal direction of a lubricant holding member, and to provide a cleaning device and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The lubricant applicator is equipped with the coating member (brush roller 54) for applying the lubricant (solid lubricant W) to a surface of the image carrier (intermediate transfer belt 30), the lubricant holding member 55 holding the lubricant, and a pressuring mechanism 56 pressuring the lubricant to the coating member together with the lubricant holding member. The pressuring mechanism is provided with a pressuring force generation means 58 generating a pressuring force, and a guide member (guide rail 57a) guiding the lubricant holding member toward the coating member so that a pressuring direction may not be deviated, wherein a turning member (roller 55a) is interposed between the lubricant holding member and the guide member so as to pressurize the lubricant toward the coating member.
