Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terahertz beam scanning apparatus and method, scanning a terahertz beam at high speed and over a wide angle. SOLUTION: The terahertz beam scanning apparatus includes a laser device 12 for generating a first laser light 1 and a second laser light 2 which have different wavelengths, a laser optical system 14 for condensing the first laser light 1 and the second laser light 2 on the same common focal point 14b, and a terahertz generator 16 which is positioned at the common focal point and generates a terahertz beam 4 by difference frequency mixing. The laser optical system 14 is configured to enable changing of the relative incident angle θibetween the first laser light and the second laser light at the terahertz generator.
