Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve resistance value reduction of a resistor which is installed in a standardized resistance plate. SOLUTION: In this liquid-level detecting apparatus 10, a conductive sliding arm 14, turning in linking with a float 11, is slid on the resistance plate 20; the resistor 23 is formed over a plurality of conductive segments 22 on an insulating substrate 21 of the resistance plate 20; and adjacent conductive segments 22 and 22 are interconnected through the resistor 23. The level of liquid level L is detected by measuring as many composite resistance values as the number of resistors 23 existing between the conductive segment 22, on which a contact part 14a of the conductive sliding arm 14 slides, corresponding to the turning position of the conductive sliding arm 14 and the conductive segment 22 at an end connecting to a resistance value instrument 29, or the voltage value based on the composite resistance values. The apparatus 10 is constitutted such that the plurality of conductive segments 22 have a conduction pattern part 22c for making at least one adjacent conductive segments 22 and 22 electrically conduct to each other.
