Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of cleaning while preventing the suction of air or foreign matter from a nozzle. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder includes a head 2 for discharging ink to a recording medium, a feed pump 6 for pressurizing and decompressing the inside of an ink supply pipe 4 and a sub-tank 5 communicating with the head 2, and a control unit 7 for controlling the feed pump 6 so that the pressure in the ink supply pipe 4 and the sub-tank 5 pressurized with the feed pump 6, in turn the pressure in the head 2, may be decreased by a value within a predetermined range per unit time.
