Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for delivering nucleic acid into cells, and a vector effective for delivering a polynucleotide, i.e. nucleic acid-containing microparticles having a size suitable for phagocytosis, into phagocytes without spoiling nucleic acid integrity. SOLUTION: A microparticle preparation comprising a polymer substrate and a nucleic acid expression vector is provided. The polymer substrate includes one or more synthetic polymers having solubility in water of less than about 1 mg/L. At least about 90% of the microparticles have a diameter less than about 100 micrometers. The nucleic acid is either RNA at least 50% of which is in the form of closed circles, or circular DNA plasmid molecules at least 50% of which are supercoiled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
