Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content reproducing apparatus for improved usability for a user, and to provide a content reproducing method. SOLUTION: The content reproducing apparatus, which performs Streaming reproduction, comprises a Streaming Buffer, an expansion memory which is provided separately from the Streaming Buffer for copying Streaming, and an attribute recognizing means which recognizes a file attribute of a content from outside. A content can be selected from outside based on the file attribute obtained by the attribute recognizing means. Based on the selection, the content is reproduced from the expansion memory.
