PERSONAL DIGITAL ASSISTANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistant capable of automatically turning OFF the setting of an alarm function by catching that a user is already up. SOLUTION: In the display device, when it is detected by a timing means that the time set by a user beforehand has come, a reporting means performs alarm reporting. The reporting means is operated on receiving an instruction relating to permission/inhibition of reporting execution from a switching means. Also, an operation detection means for detecting the change of the position or inclination of the personal digital assistant by a sensor or the like is provided. When a position change or inclination change exceeding a predetermined range is detected by the operation detection means, or when the position change or the inclination change continuing in excess of the predetermined time is detected by the operation detection means, the switching means inhibits reporting to the reporting means. Also, a function of receiving the specification of a time zone during which it is made possible to switch the execution/non-execution of the alarm reporting from the user is provided.
