Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite retardation plate having superior adhesion between a retardation layer and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer while having the retardation layer comprising an organic modified clay composite body including a sufficient organic modifier capable of being dispersed in an organic solvent, and to provide a composite optical member and a liquid crystal display device using the same. SOLUTION: In the composite retardation plate, a transparent resin film, the retardation layer, and the pressure sensitive adhesive layer are stacked in this order, the retardation layer includes the organic modified clay composite body in which the organic modifier and clay minerals are composited and a binder resin, wherein all or a part of the clay minerals is subjected to fluorine treatment.
