Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact torque sensor which is adapted for the high-speed rotation and impulsive twist of a steel shaft. SOLUTION: Torque is measured by a magnetic flux detecting element in which exciting and detecting coils are wound around an amorphous sheet. A ring-shaped sensor as shown in Fig. 6 is attached to the steel shaft in a non-contact manner. The exciting coil and detecting coil of a magnetic pole embedded in the ring are arranged in the 90-degree direction. A change in magnetic permeability caused by the torque of the steel shaft is thus measured by the magnetic flux detecting element, thereby calculating and displaying the torque.
