PIPELINE CONNECTING METHOD FOR JACKING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost pipeline connecting method with high safety, which can prevent the blowout of groundwater and sediment in connection. SOLUTION: A jacking operation is performed by an excavation machine 10; the excavation machine 10 is stopped immediately in front of an existing structure A; a preceding drilling head 30, which is installed in an earth removal pipe 13 in such a manner as to be capable of advancing/receding, is advanced to drill a hole in the side wall of the existing structure A; a ring cutter 40 with a diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the excavation machine 10 is connected to a leading end of a rod 31 by detaching the preceding drilling head 30, and retreated in the direction of the excavation machine 10 while being rotated by the driving force of the preceding drilling head 30; the ring cutter 40 is inserted up to a position to cover the front outer periphery of the excavation machine 10, while the sidewall of the existing structure A is cut with the ring cutter 40; a tubular earth-retaining steel plate 60 is pressed in between the ring cutter 40 and an opening cut with the ring cutter 40; subsequently, the ring cutter 40 is removed and recovered; and components except an outer shell 11 of the excavation machine 10 are removed for recovery by leaving the outer shell 11.
