METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STRAIGHTENING SHAPE STEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for straightening a shape steel with high accuracy and high efficiency. SOLUTION: Both ends 2a of a shape steel 2 are restricted by a clamp 10, and the tensile force is applied in the longitudinal direction of the shape steel 2 by a cylinder power unit 5, and the yield stress is applied in the entire section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the shape steel 2. Thus, the shape steel 2 is in the full section yield state. A roll supporting part 16 is moved to an arbitrary position, and the displacement is given in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the shape steel 2 via a roll 18 by the operation of a pressing mechanism 17. By moving the roll supporting part 16 in the longitudinal direction of the shape steel 2 while the pressing mechanism 17 is operated, arbitrary displacement orthogonal to the longitudinal direction can be given continuously in the longitudinal direction of the shape steel 2. Thus, at an arbitrary position of the shape steel 2 in the full section yield state, the shape steel 2 can be straightened in a very easy manner by applying the displacement from the side.
