Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment method for preventing the fixation of soot dust to the bag filter of a dust collector when supplying slaked lime to an acidic gas and reducing an acidic gas concentration. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas treatment method is for supplying the slaked lime to the exhaust gas containing the acidic gas and reducing the acidic gas concentration, the supply amount Y1of the slaked lime required in order to react with hydrogen chloride and generate CaClOH is calculated by equation (1) on the basis of the hydrogen chloride concentration of the exhaust gas before treated upstream of a slaked lime supply means in the exhaust gas flow, and the slaked lime whose lower limit amount is the supply amount Y1is supplied to an exhaust gas flow path. The equation (1) is Y1=3.3×10-3X0×Q, Y1is the supply amount (g/h) of the slaked lime required for reacting with the hydrogen chloride and generating CaClOH, X0is the hydrogen chloride concentration (ppm) before the treatment, and Q is an exhaust gas flow rate (Nm3/h).
