CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with which various works such as a front-and-rear identifying work and a positioning work during a wire crimping work can be done easily. SOLUTION: The connector is provided in continuation with a protector 10 of a right and left unsymmetrical shape which includes: a first protective portion 11 which crosses contactlessly a front projection portion of a fork-shaped terminal 3; a second protective portion 12 which connects an left end of the first protective portion 11 with an end portion of an electrically conductive metal plate except the fork-shaped terminals 3; and a third protective portion 13 which is provided extending from a right end of the first protective portion 11 to a side of the conductive metal plate over top ends of the fork-shaped terminals 3 and moreover does not continue to the conductive metal plate. The protector surrounds an outer side of the fork-shaped terminals on a same plane and is cut and removed when the fork-shaped terminal 3 is used. Between the top end of the third protective portion 13 and the conductive metal plate, there is provided a slit 17 with a gap, in which a positioning is made possible by inserting a positioning member 20.
