Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an amplification circuit against a damage by a surge current, and ensure the temporal continuity in a measurement at the minimum dead time. SOLUTION: A radiation measurement apparatus includes: a high voltage DC power supply 11 for applying a bias voltage to a radiation detector 10a comprising a semiconductor crystal; a controller for controlling the bias voltage from the high voltage DC power supply 11 so as to be turned on/off; the amplification circuit 30; a protection circuit 20 disposed between the radiation detector 10a and the amplification circuit 30, and protecting the amplification circuit 30 against the surge current generated when the bias voltage is controlled so as to be turned on/off; a control means 40 for blocking the surge current flowing in the amplification circuit 30; and a switch 25 disposed parallel to the protection circuit 20, and having an operation state controlled by the control means 40. The control means 40 controls the operation state of the switch 25 in synchronization with an on/off control by the controller, and blocks the surge current flowing in the amplification circuit 30.
