STRUCTURE OF OIL PAN IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce holding parts for fitting engine accessories, and to secure lubricating oil for an oil suction opening, in an internal combustion engine wherein an oil pan 1 is provided with a deepened oil reservoir 8 in which the oil suction opening 15 for a lubricating-oil pump is opened in the vicinity of a bottom plate 7a of the oil reservoir, and on the outer face of one longitudinal side plate 4 in the oil pan, a plurality of bosses 9, 10 for mounting engine accessories are integrally provided in the oil reservoir in one longitudinal side face plate. SOLUTION: In the oil pan, a partition plate 16 for the oil reservoir is integrally provided in a state that the boss of the one longitudinal face plate and the bottom plate of the oil reservoir are connected to each other. The partition plate is extended vertically to a height beyond the oil suction opening, and extended in the lateral direction to a part beyond the oil suction opening between the oil suction opening and the other longitudinal face plate 5.
