PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a generator from protruding outward in a power unit keeping a cam chain equipped with a crankshaft and a cam shaft oriented in a vehicle width direction and mounted on a side of a cylinder so as to transmit the power of the crankshaft to the cam shaft, a generator arranged outward from the cam chain and rotated by the crankshaft, and a belt type continuously variable transmission including a drive pulley shaft situated in parallel to the crankshaft, and a driven pulley shaft situated in parallel to the crankshaft, wherein the belt type continuously variable transmission is arranged on one end side of the crankshaft and the power generator is arranged on the other end side of the crankshaft. SOLUTION: An inside transmission case for covering the continuously variable transmission mounted in the crankcase from the inside thereof, an outside transmission case for covering the continuously variable transmission from the outside thereof, and an oil pump arranged on the opposite side to the cam chain with respect to a cylinder axis of the internal combustion engine and on a side of the inside transmission case of the crank case.
