Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for gel formation, with which a defect or an abnormal shape caused by occurrence of air bubbles etc. in gelation is suppressed, and to provide a capillary tube and a microarray for detecting a biological material using the composition for gel formation, and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: The composition for gel formation forms a gel to be used for a capillary tube or a microarray for detecting a biological material, includes a gel forming material to form the gel, and has viscosity at 25°C of 10 mPa s or more.
