SEAT STORAGE STRUCTURE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer an occupant seat into a storage state by simple operation while preventing damage of an armrest provided on the occupant seat. SOLUTION: The seat storage structure for an automobile is provided with an armrest support means 19 for supporting the armrest 18 arranged on a sidewall part side of the occupant seat displaceably to an approximately horizontal use position and a storage position along a seat back 16. On a sidewall part of a cabin, a projection part 38 is provided in a position interfering with a movement track of the armrest 18 when the seat back 16 of the occupant seat is moved from the use position to the storage position. The armrest 18 is provided with: an armrest body 20 supported on the seat back 16 through the armrest support means 19; a distal end member 21 provided on the front end; and a support mechanism displaceably supporting the distal end member 21 in a position where the interference is avoided when the distal end member 21 interferes with the projection part 38.
