INSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inside rearview mirror for a vehicle allowing rear view confirmation in a glare-proof state even when there are beams of light irradiated from an obliquely upward and backward direction. SOLUTION: The inside rearview mirror 1 for the vehicle has a case 3 having an opening 2 opened to the rear side of the vehicle. One end of a support member 4 of approximately L-shaped cross section is turnably supported to the case 3 with a shaft 5 as a fulcrum. The support member 4 is integrally provided with a housing 6 at the lower end of a vertical wall 4b, and an adjusting mechanism 7 is held in the housing 6. A mirror 8 is stuck to the rear face of the vertical wall 4b, and glass 9 is held and arranged in the case 3 oppositely to the mirror 8. The upper end of the glass 9 is freely turnably supported to the case 3 by the shaft 5 together with the support member 4. In the adjusting mechanism 7, a bracket 10 of approximately L-shaped cross section is assembled in a longitudinally movable manner to the housing 6, and two bevel gears 11, 12 meshed with each other are mounted to the bracket 10.
