ANTENNA DIRECTION CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna direction control device that controls direction of a directional antenna at a ground station side so that link disruption caused while a data link communication with an aircraft is being carried out is recovered in a short period of time. SOLUTION: In the antenna direction control device, when carrying out the data link communication while a communication link between the ground station and the aircraft is being maintained using the directional antenna 2, a navigational information message including the position information is time sequentially stored while the data communication link is being established at the ground station side by allowing the directional antenna 2 to be directed to a link direction calculated based on the position information of the aircraft included in the navigational information message in a data communication signal from the aircraft. Further, when the communication link is disrupted, the estimated position of the aircraft in response to the elapse of time after the disruption based on the navigational information so far stored is calculated, and the communication link is recovered while directing the directional antenna to the direction of the estimated position.
