CONTACT, AND CONNECTOR USING THE CONTACT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact having a structure capable of preventing fitting force and insertion force from increasing even if a large number of cores are used, and capable of obtaining stable connection. SOLUTION: In the contact 20 having a contact part 22 brought into contact with a first object to be connected and disposed to face the inserting direction of the first object to be connected, and a stationary part 24 held by an insulator 12, and a connection part 26 connected to a second object to be connected, at least four or more independent elastic pieces 28 projecting in at least one direction out of the inserting direction of the first object to be connected and the direction opposite to the inserting direction are provided, at least one or more contact parts 22 are disposed in the prescribed portions of the elastic pieces 28, and the first object to be connected is held between the respective contact parts 22 of the elastic pieces 28 facing each other.
