Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for attaching a strainer to an oil pan can attach the strainer to the oil pan easily with good work efficiency during assembly of an engine and prevent an excessive load from being applied locally on the strainer. SOLUTION: This device for attaching the strainer to the oil pan attaches the strainer 10 including a body part 11 extending toward a bottom part of the oil pan 1 and an attachment flange 12 provided at a base part 11a of the body part 11 to the oil pan 1. A socket part 4 in which the base part 11a of the body part 11 of the strainer 10 is fitted, and an attachment surface 5 of the attachment flange 12 are provided on a sidewall 2 of the oil pan 1. One side part of the socket part 4 is composed of a projection part 6. A connecting rib 17 connecting the attachment flange 12 and an intermediate part 11b of the body part 11 are provided on the strainer 10 to surround circumference of the projection part 6.
