PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which can efficiently transfer a curing solution layer from an intermediate transfer member to a recoding medium, suppresses the deterioration of the intermediate transfer medium and excellently fixes images. SOLUTION: The recording device 101 has an intermediate transfer belt 10, a solution supply device 12 supplying a curing solution 12A containing a curable material cured by stimulation from the outside to the intermediate transfer belt 10 and forming an image receiving layer 12, an inkjet recording head 14 adding ink to the image receiving layer 12B formed on the intermediate transfer belt 10, a transfer device 16 transferring the image receiving layer 12B to the recording medium P from the intermediate transfer belt 10 by making the image receiving layer 12B to which ink is added contact with the recording medium P, an ultraviolet irradiation device 18 applying stimulation to cure the image receiving layer 12B to the image receiving layer 12B either immediately before or during the contact of the image receiving layer 12B with the recording medium P and an ultraviolet irradiation device 28 fixing the image receiving layer 12B transferred to the recording medium P to the recording medium P.
