PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which efficiently transfers a setting solution layer from an intermediate transfer medium to a recording medium. SOLUTION: The recording device 101 has the intermediate transfer belt 10, a solution supplying device 12 supplying a setting solution 12A containing at least a setting material set by stimulation from the outside to the intermediate transfer belt 10 and forming a set layer 12B, an inkjet recording head 14 adding ink to the set layer 12B formed on the intermediate transfer belt 10, a transfer device 16 making the set layer 12B to which the ink is added contact with a recording medium P and transferring the set layer 12B to the recording medium P from the intermediate transfer belt 10 and a stimulation supplying device 18 applying stimulation to set the set layer 12B to the set layer 12B.
