DECISION FEEDBACK EQUALIZATION APPARATUS AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for adjusting a regenerative clock phase when half rate type decision feedback equalization is used. SOLUTION: An odd and even data receiving part and a pattern filter are provided. The odd data receiving part outputs data decision data from a 1/2DFE equalization waveform at an odd data clock, and outputs edge decision data from both the 1/2DFE equalization waveform and non-half rate DFE equalization waveform at an odd edge timing clock whose phase is different from the clock by 90°. The even data receiving part output similar decision data at an even data clock, and output similar edge decision data at an even edge timing clock whose phase is different from the even data clock by 90° At a pattern filter, one of edge decision data sampled at respective odd and even edge timing is selected according to a data pattern (110 or 001) of continuous 3 bits acquired from the data decision data sampled at respective odd and even data timing.
