SOLUTION: The system includes an optical fiber (51) disposed proximate to the component, at least one sensor (52), disposed along the optical fiber (51), to detect the temperature of the component, and a data acquisition system (70) operably coupled to the sensor (52) via the optical fiber (51) to generate real-time data in accordance with the detected temperature of the component during an operation of the electric machines (1).
