Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a continuously variable transmission capable of suppressing an abrupt change of engine rotation speed at the time of a mode change. SOLUTION: A first control rotation speed DsrREV_LIM_M and a second control rotation speed DsrREV_LIM_D are calculated at a manual transmission mode and an automatic transmission mode when an oil temperature Temp becomes higher than a first oil temperature threshold Temp_SL_1. When the mode is changed during high oil temperature control, an attained primary pulley rotation speed control value DsrREV_LIM is changed at a designated rate (rotation speed reduction changed amount DeltDsrREV_C1, rotation speed increase changed amount DeltDsrREV_C2) from primary pulley rotation speed before the mode change to second minimum control rotation speed DsrREV_LIM_C2 (DsrREV_LIM_M, DsrREV_LIM_D) after the mode change.
