Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work system capable of preventing a worker in a manual work area from getting disengaged even if a robot runs into trouble. SOLUTION: A workpiece assembly system includes the manual work area, a robot work area provided downstream of the manual work area and a first buffer space provided at the border between the manual work area and the robot work area. Bodies are continuously fed in the manual work area and fed by takts in the robot work area. The length l1of the buffer space is defined by an equation (1) of l1=lT+t×v where lTrefers to a length of one takt of the takt-feed, t refers to a period of time when conveyance of the takt-feed of a workpiece stops if the robot has trouble, and v refers to conveyance speed of the workpiece.
