METHOD OF MANUFACTURING STEEL STRIP OR STEEL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a steel strip or a steel sheet having comparatively thin thickness and narrow width, the method being usable from the manufacturing of multiple models in smaller lots to the manufacturing of big volumes of specified kinds of products with a small scale equipment. SOLUTION: This method is a method by which a steel wire rod, a steel wire, or a steel bar composed of marketed carbon steel, ferritic stainless steel, or austenitic stainless steel is used as a start material and it is rolled to the final thickness with flat rolls 2 in the cold temperature region, or a method by which first the material is rolled with caliber rolls 2 in the cold temperature region and it is rolled to the final thickness with the flat rolls in the cold temperature region, or after first it is rolled with the caliber rolls in a warm temperature region and rolled to the final thickness with the flat rolls in the cold temperature region, and large strain is introduced from the start material by a prescribed step of an intermediate material and the final material.
