DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that it is required for a user to switch or scroll a screen in order to search for a desired program in an electronic program guide arranged in a two-dimensional manner using a time axis and a channel axis, which is difficult to list many programs at the same time compared to a TV page of newspaper or the like. SOLUTION: By arranging the channels including programs extracted by program retrieval or the like adjacent to each other, more programs desired by the user can be listed at the same time. The time desired by the user can be predetermined by a user operation or the like, and only the extracted programs including the predetermined time are rearranged. Thus, even when only a small number channels can be simultaneously displayed in the electronic program guide, more desired programs corresponding to the time of interest are listed.
