METHOD AND SYSTEM OF FRAME SYNCHRONIZATION FOR FEEBLE OPTICAL COMMUNICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for frame synchronization, reducing a calculation amount to be required for the frame synchronization and quickly establishing the frame synchronization. SOLUTION: In a communication system wherein a first communication device 10 and a second communication device 20 perform communication through an optical transmission line 30 with feeble light as a medium, the first communication device 10 divides transmission data by frame of a fixed length and transmits them to the optical transmission line together with a frame pattern provided on a fixed position of each frame. The frame unit integration part 203 of the second communication device 20 divides received data by frame length by an optional phase, integrates the data of the same bit position of a plurality of divided frames, and thus generates a histogram. A frame pattern phase detection part 204 detects the position of the frame pattern from the histogram. Frame synchronization control parts 104 and 205 determine bit correspondence between the transmission data and the reception data on the basis of the position of the frame pattern.
