AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for improving silence, by restraining an increase in a discharge sound caused by electrostatic mist, by surely generating more electrostatic mist. SOLUTION: An indoor unit of the air conditioner having suction ports 2a and 2b for sucking indoor air, a heat exchanger 6 for exchanging heat with the sucked air, an indoor fan 8 for carrying the air of exchanging the heat by the heat exchanger 6, and a blowout port 10 for blowing off the air sent from the indoor fan 8, has a discharge electrode 72, a counter electrode 75 oppositely arranged to the discharge electrode 72, a high voltage power source 24 and a Peltier element 36 for condensing moisture in the air, and also has an electrostatic atomizer 70 for generating the electrostatic mise by impressing high voltage by the high voltage power source 24 between the discharge electrode 72 and the counter electrode 75 by supplying water to the discharge electrode 72 by the Peltier element 36. A shape of the counter electrode 75 is constituted so that an inside surface 75b on the discharge electrode 72 side is formed in a domed ring shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
