Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a rotary machine by miniaturizing a thrust bearing and securing a certain load capacity or larger, and to inspect the design of the thrust bearing in a short time without spending a lot of labor. SOLUTION: This rotary machine is provided with a casing, a turning part provided with a turbine impeller at one end of a turbine shaft and provided with a compressor impeller at the other end thereof, a load transmitting member 6 fixed to the turbine shaft, and a thrust bearing 16 into which the turbine shaft is inserted and which is fixed to the casing so as to face the load transmitting member 6 near the member. An oil film is formed between the load transmitting member 6 and the thrust bearing 16 so as to constitute a thrust bearing 14 for receiving a thrust load of the turning part by oil film pressure, and the rotary machine comprises a bearing for supporting the turing part freely to turn relatively to the casing. The thrust bearing 16 comprises a position sensor 17 for measuring a distance L between the load transmitting member 6 and the thrust bearing 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
