VISCOUS FLUID JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscous fluid joint improved in control accuracy in transmission torque, by accurately controlling a supply quantity of silicone oil to an operation chamber from a storage chamber. SOLUTION: This viscous fluid joint has a torque transmission part 7 for transmitting the torque to a driven shaft 4 from a pulley 3 in response to a supply quantity of silicone oil O from the storage chamber 6, and a control mechanism 9 for controlling the supply quantity of the silicone oil to the operation chamber by changing the volume in the storage chamber. A part up to the torque transmission part from the storage chamber is formed as a closed circuit of sealing the silicone oil in a substantially sealed state, and first and second passage grooves 29 and 30 allowing flow of the silicone oil are formed in the radial direction in first and second labyrinth parts 19 and 20 of the torque transmission part.
