IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE AND IMAGE RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for immediately correcting recording medium deformation occurring during an image recording. SOLUTION: In a compound machine as one example of the image recording device, a printer unit 11 includes: a conveying roller 60 and a pinch roller 61 for holding and conveying the recording paper 90; a recording head 39 that selectively jets ink droplets to the recording paper 90 conveyed by the conveying roller 60 and the pinch roller 61 and records an image on the paper 90; and a control unit 70 that controls the operation of the conveying roller 60 and the pinch roller 61 so as to convey the recording paper 90 on which the image has been recorded in a reverse direction and hold and stop the recording paper 90 in a first attitude where a correction force 120 in a direction to correct the deformation in some areas 93 is imparted.
