PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erroneous insertion prevention member of a storage medium having a simple structure, and restrained in manufacturing cost, to provide an erroneous insertion prevention system of a storage medium, and to provide a fixing direction of an erroneous insertion prevention member of a storage medium. SOLUTION: A guide plate 20 is fixed by being stacked on a CF card 10 having short sides 15a1 and 15a2 and long sides 15b1 and 15b2, and having a regular insertion/extraction surface located on the long side 15b2 side, and prevents a mistake of the insertion direction of the CF card 10. The guide plate includes: a base 21 formed into a card-like shape; and a positioning part 22 specifying the fixing position of the base 21 with respect to the CF card 10 to set the total length of the CF card 10 and the base 21 in a direction along the short sides 15a1 and 15a2 of the CF card 10 larger than the width W of an insertion/extraction opening S of a connector 30 for inserting/extracting the CF card 10 therein/therefrom when the base 21 is fixed to the CF card 10.
