CONNECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and expansion unit that achieves a reliable electrical connection, by preventing the damage of a connection terminal, when mounting the electronic device and expansion unit to each other. SOLUTION: A connection device electrically connects the electronic device 1 with the expansion unit 50 for expanding the functions in the electronic device 1. The connection device includes: a connection terminal 16 in the electronic device 1; a connection terminal 55 in the expansion unit 50; protruded positioning pins 17a and 17b disposed in the vicinity of the connection terminal 16; and recessed positioning sections 56a and 56b, which are disposed in the vicinity of the connection terminal 55, and in which the positioning pins 17a and 17b are fittable.
