PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device control device capable of setting a device without depending on an OS. SOLUTION: This device control device includes: a basic input/output system for performing basic input/output control to a device mounted on a computer; a power control system for performing power control to the device; an operating system for managing the whole computer; and a storage part which is accessible by the power control system and the basic input/output system. The power source control system includes a device information acquisition means for acquiring device information preliminarily stored in the device mounted on the device mounting part on which the device is mountable, and for storing it in the storage part. The basic input/output system includes a device setting means for storing setting information for setting the operation of the device in a register incorporated in the device based on the device information stored in the storage part.
