CONCRETE BLOCK FOR RETAINING WALL, AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF RETAINING WALL USING THE BLOCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide concrete blocks for a retaining wall excelling in shortening a construction period and in reducing a construction cost by dispensing with wooden form installation work for rust-proofing of H-shaped steel piles, and attendant ground excavation work in retaining wall construction using the H-shaped steel piles as posts and fitting and piling concrete blocks in the clearances and also dispensing with work of providing a cut-off wall beforehand in retaining wall construction in a seashore or riverbank area. SOLUTION: The concrete blocks for the retaining wall and its construction method comprise providing both right and left sides of the concrete block 1 with extended shape like blades 2, driving H-shaped steel piles 3 into the ground at equal spaces or optional spaces within a range of about 1-3 m to form posts, and then installing the concrete blocks 1 to be fitted into the H-shaped steel piles 3 and piling the concrete blocks 1.
